Turn Down For What, or “Kevin” as he is known to family and fans, is the complete package.

Good looks, athleticism, pedigree, confirmation, heart, and a kind and loving disposition are all wrapped in a beautiful copper chestnut coat. AQHA/NRHA registered and 5-Panel clean, Kevin stands 14.3 hands and is pushing just over 1100 pounds of lean muscle.

He has the style today’s reiners are searching for and it’s all natural.

Kevin is a gorgeous mover with easy plus-one stops and transitions, along with a graceful lope. All of these qualities can be attributed to his impeccable breeding. He is the offspring of $2 million dollar sire, Einsteins Revolution, and his mom is the great confirmation mare, My Way Marla.

Kevin leaves his mark wherever he goes with his inquisitive personality, just one of the many traits that drew his owner, Allison Thorson, to purchase him in the spring of 2018 from Brian Bell Performance Horses.

“It was truly love at first sight,” Allison says.

“He was just so handsome and when the sunlight hit him that day in the arena, he took my breath away. I knew then I had to have him.”

Kevin’s debut breeding season will be 2020, with his first set of foals arriving in 2021. He has earned $181,000 + in NRHA events and that number will only continue to grow as he competes in 2020. Kevin lives with his family (human & horse) in Murfreesboro, Tenn.

Andrea Fappani Wins NRBC Open Classic Finals on Chic Dreamin

The long miles, hard work and hours spent putting the finishing touches on some of the toughest reining horses in the country culminated inside the Great Southwest Equestrian Center at The National Reining Breeders Classic with a crowd-raising performance.
The focus of the night was the Open Classic Finals where the competitors showed up to battle it out for championship prizes, bragging rights and $75,000. Finishing the night on top of the field was Andrea Fappani ridng Chic Dreamin (Magnum Chic Dream x
Skeets Red Dunit) to a score of 229 to top the Level 4 and be crowned the NRBC Open Classic champion.

“It never gets old to win anywhere, but especially here,” Fappani said.

“It’s a special place. I have a special place in my heart, because this is where I marked a 236, which is still today the highest in NRHA history, so it’s a great place where you can really showcase your horse.”

Fappani and the 5-year-old

stallion owned by Silver Spurs Equine wowed the crowd with a stellar performance, proving why the NRBC is one of Fappani’s favorite shows and why he had such confidence going into the finals aboard the flashy sorrel.
